Stream: International (Cambridge) Application Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or qualification in Early Years or Art Education is an advantage.
- Additional training or certification in child development, creative arts, or early years pedagogy is desirable.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years of teaching experience in a preschool or early childhood educational setting.
- Proven experience in planning and delivering art-based learning activities that support children’s creativity, fine motor development, and self-expression.
- Experience working in an international or bilingual school environment is an asset.
Main responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate art lessons that promote creativity, imagination, and artistic expression in young children.
- Design and implement a variety of hands-on art activities using different materials, tools, and techniques suitable for preschoolers.
- Integrate art into the Early Years curriculum, supporting learning across other areas such as literacy, numeracy and personal, social, and emotional development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where every child feels encouraged to express themselves freely through art.
- Observe and assess children’ s progress in art-related and general developmental skills, maintaining accurate records and sharing observations with classroom teachers and parents as appropriate.
- Encourage children’s fine motor development, creativity, and problemsolving through structured and open-ended aft experiences.
- Ensure all materials and activities comply with health and safety standards appropriate for young learners.
- Prepare and maintain the art classroom and resources, ensuring an organized, inspiring, and child-friendly space.
- Contribute to school-wide projects, exhibitions, and events, showcasing children’ s artwork and creativity.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary and themebased projects. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school community events as required.
- Promote respect for art, culture, and diversity, helping children appreciate various artistic traditions and expressions.
