We are looking for candidates for a Senior QA Engineer role to join us at SABAH HUB!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual functional, integration, and regression testing for **web and mobile platforms**
  • Conduct **API testing*using tools like Postman and Swagger, including endpoint validation and negative testing
  • Review requirements and identify unclear or missing details before testing begins
  • Prioritize testing using a **risk-based approach*when time is limited
  • Execute exploratory testing to discover hidden issues beyond test cases
  • Maintain testing documentation and test cases for multiple products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum/Kanban environments
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure proper regression coverage
  • Lead and mentor junior QA engineers and conduct code/test case reviews
  • Define and own the overall QA strategy and testing standards for the team
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews to flag testability issues early
  • Build and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, or E2E)
  • Set up and improve CI/CD pipeline integration for automated test runs
  • Track and report on quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, escape rate) to stakeholders
  • Drive shift-left testing practices

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Fluency in Azerbaijan and English;
  • Strong experience with **API testing*(Postman, Swagger)
  • Experience in UI testing for web and mobile applications
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and test management tools
  • Ability to switch between projects quickly without losing attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to prevent miscommunication across multiple stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC
  • Experience with defect root cause analysis and issue prevention strategies
  • Risk-based testing mindset and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Comfortable in Agile environments with frequent scope changes
  • Experience with at least one test automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium for mobile)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
  • Ability to write basic scripts for test data setup or automation support (Python, JS, etc.)
  • Experience with performance or load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Locust)
  • Knowledge of security testing basics (OWASP Top 10 awareness, input validation, auth testing)
  • Experience with database/SQL querying for backend verification
  • Ability to evaluate and introduce new QA tools and processes to the team
  • Experience working with product managers and developers to define acceptance criteria
