Food Safety Assistant

· Conduct preliminary checks of food product labels for imported products to ensure compliance with food safety and labelling requirements of the Republic of Azerbaijan;

· Translate, prepare, review and proofread labelling information for imported products;

· Collect, organize and maintain product information and required food safety documentation for newly imported products;

· Provide support in preparing food safety documentation and supplier evaluation records;

· Enter, update and maintain supplier evaluation documents, audit results and related information in the relevant systems;

· Participate in food safety inspections at stores and DC;

· Record non-conformities identified during inspections and assist in preparing relevant reports;

· Check compliance of products at stores with requirements related to labelling, storage conditions, shelf life and traceability;

· Follow up on corrective actions related to identified non-conformities and maintain relevant records;

· Support the preparation of documentation and relevant information for product withdrawal and recall processes;

· Prepare and update reports, registers, checklists and other Food Safety Department documentation;

· Maintain electronic food safety databases and documentation in an accurate and up-to-date manner;

Perform other Food Safety-related tasks assigned by the line manager.

Tələblər

· Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or a related field.

· Basic knowledge of food safety and food labeling requirements.

· Basic understanding of HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

· Good attention to detail, particularly when reviewing product labels and documents.

· Good organizational and communication skills.

· Knowledge of English and Azerbaijani. Knowledge of Russian is an advantage

Knowledge of MS Office, (especially Excel) and Outlook
